このたび田野屋塩二郎は、大阪・関西万博のメイン会場「WASSE」で開催された『Undiscovered Japan Festa 〜まだ見ぬ日本祭り〜』レジェンドグランプリ にて、最新作 「砂糖で作った塩」 でグランプリを受賞いたしました。

10年間にわたり続いた大会のトップ・オブ・トップを決める特別な舞台。
13年に及ぶ試行錯誤の末、“砂糖”という予想外の素材と“塩”を融合させた、かつて誰も見たことのない新しい結晶が誕生しました。塩と真摯に向き合い続けてきたからこそ到達できた境地であり、日本の宝物として世界へ発信できたことを心より光栄に思います。

Festa The Festival of Yet-Unseen Japan,
held within the Osaka-Kansai Expo,
Tanoya Enjiro’s latest creation —
“Salt Made from Sugar” — has been awarded the Legend Grand Prix!

After 13 years of trial and error,
a completely new kind of crystal has been born —
a fusion of the unexpected element of sugar with salt.
A grain like no other, unseen by the world until now.

This is a creation only possible through years of dedication to salt —
a culmination of a journey that could only be reached
by someone who has truly lived and breathed salt.

We are truly honored to have shared
this “Treasure of Japan”
with the world on such a special stage.
